The commemorative coin of the founding of the Republic of China is the 17 provincial representatives who elected Sun Yat-sen as the interim president of the Republic of China in Nanjing after the 1911 Revolution on December 29 1911. A commemorative coin cast in the period of the founding of the Republic of China.
As the currency system has not been established in addition to the change of the big Chinese silver coins in Sichuan and the remoulding of the Chinese treasure the main mint of Fujian still use the silver coins of the former steel mould for the circulation needs. Due to the confusion of the monetary system Chen Jintao Minister of Finance of the Interim Government sent a message to President Sun Yat-sen on March 11 the first year of the Republic of China and drummed up 100000 commemorative silver coins for rectification.
The design uses the portrait of President Sun Zhongshan and later the general silver coin is changed to the pattern pattern again. Sun Zhongshan ordered the Ministry of finance to write the text agreed to cast the commemorative coins and ordered the rest of the new pattern of silver coins. "In the middle we should draw the five Valley model take the meaning of the rich and the people advise the farm affairs" and instruct the Ministry of finance to make a new model. Soon the Ministry of finance gave the new model to the South (Nanjing) Hubei Guangdong and other Mint foundry. This is the origin of "Sun Zhongshan of the Republic of China as the commemorative coin of the founding of the country".

On the six corner star format
In the 14 years of the Republic of China the Kuomintang government was established in Guangzhou. In the 15 years of the Republic of China it moved to Wuhan. In the 16 years of the Republic of China (1927 AD) Nanjing was established. To commemorate the great achievements of the country father Sun Zhongshan the money made by the central government used the statue of the country father and the Nanjing and Tianjin Mint foundry in 16 and 17 years of the Republic of China was re casting the commemorative coins of the sun like the Republic of China. The front and back of the silver dollar are basically the same as those of the previous ones while the top six stars are arranged on the top and left sides. The discipline weighs 27 grams. Because the front and back of the coin is more formal there is no error in English and Chinese and set hexagonal star so it is called the ordinary hexagonal version. The coin has a large amount of casting and a wide circulation.
However the six corner star format of the opening commemorative coins of the two six horns less one for the wrong edition the number is very limited so the coin has a very high collection value and artistic value.
